Caring for your Waterwise Succulents

Watering

When in doubt, remember the golden  rule – “less is more”.

Succulents in the garden bed need care for the first 3-months generally they will be able to look after themselves with natural rainfall in the winter and watering weekly in the summer after that.  

Pots and wreaths need to be watered and let dry before watering again, you may have to water/spray every other day in the heat of the summer months.

Soil

The most important soil requirement for succulents is that the soil can drain well. Your wreaths and bird houses are fine in the moss.

Fertilisers

Succulents are not heavy feeders. However, light feeding once a year with any soluable garden fertiliser during the summer months is beneficial.

Light

Bright light is best –  succulents love daylight.  Pots/Planters etc are best kept out of the midday sun in summer.
